![]() ![]() One day someone might fix the joystick dialog so that all of this is easier to configure from the UI but at least it is highly configurable from the XML. I had a lot of problems with my Logitech 3d so much so that at one point I thought that the F-15 flight model was wrong, but it turned out to be that the control inputs were responsible which is entirely down to the joystick. Looking through data > Input > Joysticks > Saitek I found. I took it out for a spin this morning, and I can only control the ailerons, elevators and throttle, but nothing else (despite it having twist rudder capabilities). Up until now, I haven't configured it for use in FG. This is easy enough to check by unplugging the joystick and using the keyboard or mouse to check the basic flight characteristics. Im setting my joystick buttons up from in the in game dialogue box and it saves the config file to users/appdata/flightgear/joysick/pc control pad. For Christmas, I received a Saitek Cyborg V1 Flight Stick Controller. So if something isn't flying right it is probably the joystick. It's great to hear that you're happy now. I was ready to give up on FG, which is a shame, because it has a lot of features I love, and you sure can't beat the price This little code snippet cleaned it right up (after a little experimentation with values). sim/current-view/goal-heading-offset-degĬode streamlined, all superfluous type "string" removed to speed this up by one 0.00001 second !ĭF_Hammack wrote in Sat 7:31 am:I have a Saitek Cyborg 3D that was totally unrealistic! I was blaming the sim, because it flies well in X-Plane. But it is easy to kill the sensitivity of the joystick if that is your problem and need more finer control edit: in fact I have seen my own joystick move further in one direction then the surface in-sim that it is controlling. A combination, maybe even multiple setups for multiple aircraft. Im with you, the same joystick settings I prefer for planes is way different then for helis. You can kill it even more by flattening the curve with more power or reduce the factor to soften the input. If you are a twitch like me and you think the Logitech Extreme 3D pro is too sensitive, give this config a try, specifically the aileron, elevator, and rudder sections. ![]() For 2 months I was trying things without much success. sensitivity isnt on the list If you examine the broad range of studies.
